Emirates Golf Club, host of the European Tour sanctioned Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, was the first all grass championship golf course in the Middle East when it opened in 1988. Taking pride in its 36 holes of world-class golf, the club sports two of the city's finest must-play courses, the Majlis and the Faldo Course, which is also the only 18-hole course in the region to offer night golf. Both courses combine the natural rolling desert terrain for a serious golfing test, while the signature clubhouse remains the most eye-catching in the region. The Majlis Course has been presented with numerous accolades over its 25 year history, including its 2012 ranking by Golf World magazine as one of the 'Top 100 Golf Courses in the World' and being awarded 'Best Course Middle East' in the Asian Golf Monthly Awards.
Dominating Dubai's enchanting waterfront, the Dubai Creek Golf & Yacht Club overlooks the Creek and Marina. Having opened in January 1993 to world acclaim, it has since then been host to numerous tournaments and events, including the Dubai Desert Classic on two occasions. A round of golf at the sporting oasis in the heart of the city has a distinct aura of a delightful journey across the fabled landscape of Dubai, a city that thrives in all seasons. Well-groomed fairways lined with date palms and coconut trees, attractive water hazards and shrubbery lends a tropical air to the Club's 18-hole, par-71 championship course that rolls into thousands of undulating yards. The majestic Clubhouse - its design mirroring the sails of the traditional Arab dhow - has been one of the most photographed landmarks since it opened in 1993, capturing the essence of Dubai's seafaring traditions and presenting the perfect fusion of heritage with modernity and style.
The par 71 course at Dubai Creek that measures 6,967 yards is a memorable journey from the first tee to the 18th green. The superbly manicured fairways are undulating, demarcated by mounds, date and palm trees, and most other times by water. Apart from the Creek, which comes into play on at least four holes, several artificial lakes add to the beauty and difficulty of various other holes.
Although The Address Montgomerie Dubai has evolved into one of the Middle East's most luxurious and desirable golfing destinations in recent times, the key to its success has always remained
contingent upon the quality of the golf course that would become the focal point for one of Dubai's most exclusive residential communities, Emirates Hills. Set in the heart of the
prestigious precinct, the 18-hole championship golf course and 5-star accommodation are regarded one of the premier leisure destinations in the world. Set within 265 acres of lush green
fairways, landscaped gardens, and lakes, The Address Montgomerie Dubai is the perfect place for players of all levels to live an unforgettable experience. The course provides the player
with undulating "links land" style fairways with generous landing areas which challenge and intrigue all levels of player. One of the signature holes is the par 5 fourth, dubbed the Snake
hole for its saddleback fairway which doglegs towards the green, with two bunkers behind forming the eyes of the snake. The Address Montgomerie Dubai offers two very different seasons of
golf. During winter, the golf course is over-seeded whilst the summer season has the course back to a full stand of Bermuda grass. The turf growth is vigorous during the summer resulting in
a very challenging rough.
